The Living Master

The path of Inner Light and Sound Meditation requires initiation and guidance by a living Master or Satguru. Guru is a Sanskrit word for “teacher” or “master”; Satguru means True Master or True Teacher, Teacher of the Truth. Through the initiation process, the Master awakens the Divine Presence or the true Self within us who will then undertake the spiritual journey. The true Self is the conscious soul or spirit in each person. The soul or spirit can be considered the “driver” of the vehicles, which are our bodies (physical and spiritual).

The Spiritual Teacher

Some individuals nowadays might be bothered by the need for a master or teacher to walk on this path. But think about this: since childhood, we need a teacher for every skill we learn; from walking, to speaking, to reading, to writing. Learning these skills from different teachers has enabled us to function in this physical world. Likewise, we need a teacher to guide and protect us on the greatest journey we will ever undertake back to the spiritual world, to our true Home, while living a normal life on Earth. Read more

Taoist Guide To The Infinite Self: Power Comes From Discipline

The journey toward the Infinite Self is one of discipline. It isn’t an easy journey.

In his profoundly life changing book, Infinite Self: 33 Steps to Reclaiming Your Inner Power, Stuart Wilde choreographed the mysteries of life into a series of practical steps to help us become masters of ourselves. He explains that the spiritual journey is a tough one because it’s the journey wherein you’re going to disempower the ego from its control in your life. This involves discipline.

How much discipline you can impose upon yourself is up to you. At the beginning you need enormous amounts because the mind is tough. Later on, you can forgo quite a lot of the disciplines, because by then you will have gotten into absolute control of your mind and your emotions. You will have a very strong sense of that infinity within you, so the disciplines can be eased off.

But without discipline, you really don’t have much of a chance. Discipline is something you take on joyously and willingly because you know it raises your energy and quiets the mind. Read more

Affirmations For Your Awakening And Ascension Process

What Are Affirmations?

Affirmations are positive statements that help focus your awareness on your power and ability to create what you want. They are stated in the present tense, such as “I am unlimited abundance.” Your thoughts and feelings create your reality. As you say these positive statements to yourself, you can begin to create them as true.

How to Use Affirmations

Write out or type up a list of affirmations that represent the beliefs you want to have to support your full conscious awakening and ascension process.

It’s best to speak your affirmations at about the same time every day. This is a successful programming that every musician, dancer, writer and professional athlete knows: A routine practiced five days in a row at the same time every day has a far greater impact on your developing abilities than a routine practiced five days in a row at widely different times. Keeping A Spiritual Journal

A spiritual journal is a written record of personal reactions relating to spiritual matters. Keeping a spiritual journal is a great way to understand our spiritual journey and to track how we are growing spiritually. Regular journaling can aid us in becoming who we want to be.

How to Begin a Spiritual Journal

  1. Begin by gathering your favorite writing materials and a special journal for writing in, which you can either purchase or create on your own.

  1. Set a time each day, each week or whenever you feel inspired to sit and self reflect on your spiritual journey. Date your entries. If you’re away from home, jot down the place and why you are there. It will help to put your journal entry into a context.

  1. Keep your spiritual journal with you at all times. You never know when something will make you wonder about spirituality. Keeping your journal on hand allows you to write down quotes, spiritual text references, or general thoughts you wish to reflect on at a later time.
