Knowing Yourself: Living in Truth of You
Do you know yourself? Do you know yourself in the backdrop of others? Who are you to them? Who are you to you? Who are you to any or are you not at all? Is there a you inside of you or are you simply a paper doll of someone else? Are you the image of your mother, your doctor, your pet, your horse, or someone else? Or are you a design of the image of yourself? Do you know what your image should be?
Do you dress your part or do you dress as someone else? Do you go for designer sheik at a budget basement price shopping the exotic boutiques of not? Do you dye your hair at home or at some glamorous salon or not at all? Are you the at home kind that never dresses up and wears no makeup such as Sally and her son? Does the son wear makeup later on just to get even? Do you know who you are in your wardrobe let alone in anything else? Do you postulate to appear just as you are always and forever as your mother first dressed you at age nine? Or did you grow up at all? Is the wardrobe and how you appear who you are? Or is it something else?
Who are you in the mirror in the morning as you look quizzically at the Quasimodo of yourself? Are the eyebrows messy and the cheeks creased from the pillow sack of a rough night of non-sleep until 4 a.m. when you finally dozed off only to have the alarm go off at 6 a.m. to rise and shine not? Are you your job? Who are you at work anyway? Do you put your makeup on in the car mirror only to be pulled over by the cop due to running through a red light? Does the cop think you are cute with only half your makeup on? Does he give you a ticket or do you promise him something else with a wink and a nod?
Okay so he gives you a ticket anyway for not paying attention, and $200 later you realize you now cannot afford that little spicy dress this month you had laid away, for that hot date next Friday. Do you buy the dress anyway and not pay the ticket hoping he will be the catch of the century earning over a million a year? Is he this or is he really working at the local mortuary as the undertaker of himself earning a great but rather gruesome living? Will you marry him anyway and make sure the home is at least an hour drive away from the smell of formaldehyde? Or will you be there preparing the hair and cosmetics on those who are to appear in their finale of fate in front of their family and best friends? Who are you against the backdrop of an undertaker spouse anyway?
Okay so he is a Quasimodo all of himself and you have the keys to his heart forever in the forever of himself and yourself but not his mother. His mother won his heart long ago and was his first love. Can you compare to her? Or does he now hate her and you remind him of her and so he hates you too? Or are you the glamorous opposite of the stay at home homemaker of herself who never had time to look in the mirror let alone apply lipstick but created great meals? Can you cook? Or are you always on a diet to remain thin enough to be considered beautiful enough to be wed?
After the wedding bells have rung down, do you now chow down believing you are pregnant when you are really just getting fat? Or are you one of those at the yoga studio daily and health food juice bar of self, remaining thin and healthy for life, while he chows down on sirloin and beer until he amasses himself into three hundred pounds of cellulite? How does this feel in the sack after he burps up his last meal? Who are you next to a three hundred pound pig as the delicate model of herself vying to remain thin and beautiful forever?
Okay so he earns a good living and is a good father to your newborn child. You can now stay at home too. Do you still dress up from time to time? Do you put on makeup at all? Do you grow into the splitting image of his mother with farm cooked meals prepared by five o’clock each evening allowing him and yourself to chow down while the kid spits up everything you try to feed him? Do you eat for two or three now?
Are those cute little date dresses long sent off to Goodwill or other charities? Or do you keep them somewhere in the back of the closet hoping that one day you might foster a crash diet scheme and wear them once again? And what happens after you divorce anyway? Who are you to you as someone who is married? Who are you to you as a parent? Who are you to you as someone who is now single again? Do you know? Do you care? Or are you just going through the motions of life without knowing you?
Love Thyself
Do you care about your family? Or are you one who departed the nest long ago and never went back? Do you love your mother or father or sister or brother or anyone at all? Do you love you? Can you love anyone else without loving you? Or do you believe that you can love them but not yourself? Or do you love you and not them? Who are you next to them anyway? Are you beautiful, calm, present, aware and astute? Or are you dumb, ugly, fat, immeasurably unassured and anxious all the time?
Who are you if you do not know you? How can you grow yourself if you do not know yourself? How can you foster anything delightful in your life if you do not know who you are and what you desire that will make you happy? How can you foster anything at all if you feel dump, ugly and unwanted all the time? Love thyself. How can you love yourself if you do not know who you are within? Who is to be loved if you do not know you? Maybe this is the problem with most who cannot love themselves.
Do you love what you do or do you feel inadequate with your job title? Does work make you glamorous or subordinate or something else? Does work allow you to feel astute or immeasurably inadequate? Are you nervous on the job or assured about who you are and what you are to do next? Does the boss ride on top of you always telling you what to do? Or does he or she respect you and what you know and how you handle your position? Who are you next to the backdrop of work?
Do you need to get more education to be respected? Or are you piled high and deep but incapable of understanding anything but your lab tests or research projects? Who are you in the backdrop of needing to work to pay the rent or the mortgage or the bills or for those high flying credit card expenses that are sudden and unexpected as your wife is a shopaholic? Do you slave over a hot stove or over your work hoping to earn the big bonus in the sky to afford your lifestyle? Did the bonus come in or are you ready to divorce yet? Two households might be more expensive than one even with a spouse going to shopaholic anonymous meetings now. Will the meetings help or cause her to meet new friends who really love to shop, feeding the high flying expense account of herself?
Who are you in your home? Do you have the eloquent boudoir of the night in the bedroom just in case? Or is it a turf well known due to many lovers of the eve or of a harlequin romance or two or three hundred? Who are you in the sensuality of yourself? Know thyself in the bedroom and the boudoir of you will unfold. Did you attend the latest tantric workshop to understand how to eye gaze and sit upon his lap with a pillow underneath your tiny proportioned buttocks with the beautiful shiny bra gently peeking out from underneath the sheerest top you could muster to buy? Is he the one? Or do you go for the teacher vying to sit on her lap instead? Are you tantric at all or do you care to develop skills of this nature just in case you win the cash cow prize of the billionaire’s wife lottery? Who are you in the boudoir of you?
Know thyself. Who are you to you? Do you know what it is that is important to you? Are you on the spiritual joy ride of a light and only love story of God Goddess All That Is within that blesses you forever more? Or are you in love with the pansies and petunias in your backyard calling them honey instead of finding the one who will pay the mortgage for you? Do you love your path? Is the path fulfilling? Do you introspect over your darkness and inadequacies? Do you choose to master something else finding your way to a more beautiful place within you?
Or are you on the forever merry-go-round of dishevelment within in which your inner voices just do not treat you kindly? Who are you to the nonphysical anyway? Do they exist or are you psychotic really and truly? What do you hear in your head anyway? Anything at all? Is it that you need to take the ear plugs out or what? Spirit spirit on the wall, who is there if anything at all? Or do you listen to astute guidance all night long? Is there room in your bed for anyone else? Or will you talk his ear off telling him forever what spirit has to say about him and you and everyone else? Will this excite him, bore him, entice him or make him leave you saying you are simply nuts? Who are you in your spiritual journey unto you?
You are a reflection of all that surrounds you. You are each person in your life, big, fat, ugly, beautiful, loud, noisy, quiet, still, cared for, not cared for, accepted, rejected, hated, defiled, disdained and lost. You are an entire wheel of characters on the stage play of you that is reflected in each group that surrounds you. Who are you to each character? Do you care? Do you love all characters demonstrating forgiveness and compassion to an extreme like a Mother Theresa of yourself? Or are you highly critical of everyone else and not yourself? Or are you highly critical of you and not them? Or are you critical of it all examining everyone under the microscope of your spiritual knowing?
Do your spirit guides suggest forgiveness when it is really impossible in this moment or maybe forever with some character in your life who sued you for running over their dog? You lost the case as you were drunk, but it was a dog for Christ’s sake and not a child! Yes, it was a prize winning breed of some sort worth thousands of dollars but you know, it was a dog! What does it mean to be sued by a dead dog? Yes, I know you had to introspect over this one for four years and finally forgave the dog but not the man. Forgive him, spirit chants, but you cannot as he is just too dumb.
Who am I in any case at all in relation to anyone at all in my life? Do they love me? Do they hate me? Do they find me beautiful, interesting, intriguing, admirable, well thought of or something else? Do I care? Do I often feel mesmerizingly like a Pulitzer Prize winner not of anything anytime forever in a non-admirable life that even I disdain? Do I need to win a Pulitzer Prize to be anyone useful in life?
Or do I not care at all as I know I am beautiful and spiritual within and know who I am in most cases and feel well against the backdrop of my life, until he or she dejects me? Who am I in love with? Myself, himself, herself, yourself, or any self at all? Do I love myself? Know thyself first and then you might love you, or maybe not, but in any case, you will know you. Know thyself and trust that what you know is right for you in each life choice and you will be well with yourself in the past, in the now and into the future.
You are the you of the intrinsic moment that you were born into the now. You are the you that fostered this body and incarnate as spirit into matter yet once again on a mesmerizing reincarnation wheel of possibilities. Are you an old soul? Or are you a young soul? Do you care? Does it matter? Or are most others young souls as obviously you have spiritual focus and must have incarnate as someone special even if you are not anything in this life, you know, like Jesus, or Queen Elizabeth or her horseman, or Pharaoh Tutt, or John the Baptist, or Joan of Arc, or some other character in some other lifetime of fame who was either crucified or not but is memorable to most. At least you were someone then if not now, and so you must be important and you know you are an old soul after all, as what young soul would have an incarnation like that?
Know Thyself
Are you all your ancestors? Okay so you had one out of a trillion lives of some famous musician such as Chopin and his twin flame lover George Sand who was gay and was famous for all her sexual literature dressing like a man; dining at the local men’s only pub; and Chopin convinced her that she was not gay after all, as he was good in the sack you know. The other trillion lives are not really of interest you know but they were there and they were many so who am I as someone reincarnate so many times upon Earth? Is Earth my home or my prison? Can I be at home anywhere anytime if I do not know myself?
Your home lies within, beloved, or so they speak in so many metaphysical systems of teaching. Find your home within and you will be happy forevermore as you will be Christ ordained from within. Is this real or a fantasy of some book author who really just wishes to collect the dollars putting you into a glorious fantasy at a workshop only to return home to deep internal frustration with your life? The workshop was great but life is not. Who am I at a workshop or in life anyway? Why cannot life be a never ending workshop anyway? Know thyself and find your center within and you will dream the dreams that delight you more of the time than not.
You are an intrinsic fabric of consciousness that is the self of yourself. You are the self of each and every incarnation that you mastered something about life and forgave something difficult through time. You are all things possible and all things impossible. Do you believe in magic? Or do you believe everything has to be hard and a struggle through life? What do you believe in? What are you willing to release to believe in you? What are you willing to give up recognizing that you are infinite within and always were?
Are you God or something if you believe you are infinite within? Or are you simply a human realizing something else about yourself? Or are you the fearless leader who everyone looks up to and believes that you know you but really you know themselves more than yourself? Or are you the counselor of all or the mother to many who is always allowing another to cry upon your shoulder, knowing them well, but not you in you? Or do you know you well but not anyone else fostering the narcissism of a self-centered but robust life of gargantuan proportions of megalomaniac notions of believing yourself really and sincerely to be God?
Purify Thyself
Who are you in you and you into you? Are you beautiful inside or are you sick or ill and festered with old wounds that need to be purified? Purify thyself. How do you purify thyself? It is not always easy to go into old wounds and purify them through tears into joy. For those who foster the process of inner child parent adult clearing, going into festered emotions is a part of the path to a viceroy of self in which there is beautification within that then becomes possible.
Beauty of you is an un-festered state in which there is an assured flavor of care of the heart for you. Out of care of the heart for you, you can also care about others who may be festered in their jargon of a paradigm of the need to heal the past to emote something new in the life. Be well with you as you know thyself. Explore your inner worlds and forgive and heal the past allowing something else to be born in the paradigm of you.
You are the beautiful one who descended into the murk and the mire of the marsh of the density of a platform of ugg boots of self. A beautiful soul descended with you in the murk and the mire to understand the Quasimodo of you. Who is the Quasimodo of you anyway? Are you in the marsh or in the thicket of yourself? Or have you weeded the garden of you to a point that something new can blossom within?
What did you throw away that you did need after all? Or what did you throw away that you were grateful to depart from? What is it that is to throw anything away at all? Or are you the one with piles of literature around the house to a point that you must walk through a narrow path to get to your bed at night? Perhaps it is time to weed the garden again and toss that which is not you so that you can make room for what is you to grow yourself into something new.
If you know yourself, then you know when to weed and when to plant and when to grow into something new by choosing to experience something out of the ordinary that you would normally deny yourself given that you are lost in the sameness of you. Are you stuck in the same old dream day in and day out with nothing new under the lampshades of you? Or are you willing to adventure into new quadrants or new highs of some new paradigm of something else that can grow out of the musty closets of yourself?
Is it time to change the bed linens and clean out the closets of you? If so, what are you to toss and what are you to keep? What do you love about you and what do you hate or dislike or find disdain about you? Can you allow yourself to enter the darkness and cleanse thyself purifying out the mustiness of you, growing something new that is un-festered within?
Do you know yourself well enough to speak your truth in each circumstance? Do you speak your truth to a point of insulting others just because? Or do you know others well enough to share what is so while not invalidating themselves within? Can you honor you and themselves at the same time? Or do you prefer to disagree and cause an argument to foster your point? Who are you in you that requires an argument to prove your truth?
Can you love you and love me and sway with me for an eve to find out who you are and who I am and be together in the beauty of ourselves? If so, then you probably know yourself better than most. It takes knowing you to love others unconditionally and to a point that you need not prove anything to share of your truth. It takes knowing you to love others’ truths even if they vary from your own. It takes knowing you to be able to witness the other point of view without feeling offended within if it differs from your reference point of life.
Knowing yourself takes a load of introspection over who you are in each circumstance with each other in your life. Do you witness you in all your engagements through time? Who are you with your mother, or your father, or your siblings, children, spouse(s), boyfriends, girlfriends, workmates or friends or others of honorable mention? What do you witness? Do you see yourself as well or ill with some? Whom are you well with in your interactions and who are you unwell with?
Why are you unwell with anyone? What is unwell within? Is it a flavor of remorse, or dejection, or less than thought-stream that plagues you sometimes in engaging with some? Why do you feel this way at all and what can you do about it to shift your assemblage point in a new direction of just being okay with you and okay with them in the “I’m okay, you’re okay” paradigm? If you know yourself, you are okay with you regardless of the position of another.
Be You and Be in Your Truth
Do you forgive yourself along with themselves for each infraction of seeming mentionable position of strife that you or they caused in the relationship? Forgiveness wipes the tears and remorse away if it is sincere. It is through forgiveness of each that you know yourself better acknowledging your own foibles along with those of others; and choosing to purify the foibles into strengths of character instead founded upon compassion. It is in the compassion that you really know yourself well. Compassion teaches you to embrace and love each in the dance of life. It is in the love that you are okay with you and each along the spiritual path of non-remorse of soul.
Who is the soul family today or any day of your life? Is it your birth family or spouse and children? Or is it people of deep merit of the spiritual path that are drawn unto you and into your life through time? Playing with others who also feel well in themselves and exist in a state of compassion and forgiveness and whom sincerely know themselves is an entirely different drama than the standard dramas of life of the unaware and un-astute through time.
Those upon the sincere spiritual path create soul family of kinship and deep merit of introspection into the foibles of themselves through time. Those willing to forgive their own foibles are more willing to forgive yours triggering more merriment and laughter and unconditional acceptance of one another through time. A happier world can unfold if you know yourself and foster a soul family of others who also know themselves well enough to forgive each and all.
What do you wish out of this life of yours? Do you know yourself well enough to know that you would prefer adventures with soul family rather than something else? If so, what are you willing to let go of to cause this to come to be so in a Cinderella and the Prince meeting at the ball and a wedding of bliss to follow sort of circumstance? Or are you simply riding in a pumpkin and not a carriage of fate that is destined to shatter as the bell strikes midnight?
Do you know where you belong and where you do not? Do you remain where you do not belong until the porridge is too hot and you burn your lips or do you depart and go out some place sublime to dine instead? Carry me away as the infomercials, away to some place exotic on a holiday and never let me return . . . or is it that the holiday is grand and you return home to the same old smelly socks of himself that he fails always to launder leading you to do the suds in the mud of you all the time? Who are you in all walks of your life?
Do you enjoy some things and hate others? What effect does the hating of some things have upon your psyche let alone your health and wellbeing? Is it worth remaining for that which leaves you feeling really unwell only to grow to be sick in yourself or in your body through time? How much does it take to understand that the circumstance is too unwell for you to remain without sacrificing too much of everything and knowing that it is time to depart? Do you know yourself well enough to know when it is time to grow out of what is unwell and go into what is? Are you going to wait until you or your partner is ill to know that it is an unwell circumstance to remain within? Real love heals and real hate causes un-wellness into disease. Depart what you hate and your health will re-blossom if you have gone unwell for a time.
How long will you remain in the work that festers you before you also become ill? Will you allow yourself to retrain into some other type of focus that allows you to blossom within in care of what you do and working with whom you delight through time? Will you find passion in what you are fostering in your life and in all areas of design? What does it mean to know yourself that well? What does it mean to let go of what does not serve so that you can foster that which really turns you on? What does it mean to feel turned on by all areas in your life focus?
Does it mean you renew and regenerate and foster joyful experiences through time? Are you worthy within to have such a life? Are you willing to heal that which stands in the way of fostering such a life? Are you willing to let go of what you dislike in your life enough to ignite the passion of yourself again in a new direction of divine sustenance?
How well do you know you if you are in non-care of one area of your life and in care of another? Often humans justify this and that is right, and they will make do with this or that because it cannot be any other way for this or that cause, or need or objective in life. Is this really so or is it just a delusion to rise above and see in another way allowing something else to take flight in your life?
Are you willing to only have a part of a passionate part of you? Or are you willing to have the whole shebang? If you know yourself well enough, you will never settle for less than the whole shebang as why would you if this was possible instead? Know yourself and grow yourself into the beauty that you were before spirit descended into the murk and the mire of matter and into the foibles of the human thought-stream. Be you and be in your truth and be well with all the change that it takes to foster passion in all areas of your life focus.
